Hello everyone,
Today I’d like to introduce you to Shaya Good Food Industry, a rising player in Tanzania’s food processing sector that’s committed to delivering high quality, nutritious snacks to local and regional markets.
Shaya industry was founded in 2021 by Madam Shruti Pujara . Shaya Good Food Industry specializes in the production of extruded cereal snacks. These are snacks made through a high temperature, short-time extrusion process that enhances texture, flavor, and shelf life ideal for modern consumers who want tasty and convenient options without compromising on quality.
The company currently produces a variety of snack products that are affordable, crunchy, and appealing to both kids and adults. Some of the key product lines include:
- Corn Balls ( Tangy tomato and super cheese)
- Corn Curls ( Tangy tomato and super cheese)
- Corn Rings ( Tangy tomato and super cheese)
- Super sticks ( Tomato and kuku)
- Tangy Triangles ( Tomato and Kuku)
Among all the offerings, my personal favorite is the Corn Balls ( super cheese). They’re perfectly seasoned, crispy, and addictive enough to become a staple in my snack stash. What stands out most is the balance between flavor and health something not always easy to find in the snack world.
Shaya is actively serving markets in Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Arusha, pemba ( Zanzibar), and is slowly expanding its reach to neighboring regions. Their focus on small retail shops and urban supermarkets positions them strategically in both the B2B and B2C markets. With growing demand for locally-made, affordable, and nutritious snacks, Shaya is set for significant growth.
My Suggestions for Growth:
1. They should Invest highly in R&D as it will allow them to have the right team for the right challenge they're facing, in today's world it's no longer an option to have a R&D department inorder to become competent.
2. Digital Marketing – More presence on social media and an optimized website could expand visibility a million times.
3. Product Diversification – Adding breakfast cereals or baked snack alternatives could broaden their audience.
4. Export Strategy – Exploring regional exports to East African countries could open new revenue streams.
Shaya Good Food Industry is a brand to watch in the Tanzanian food industry. With a strong foundation and quality products, by improving just a little things they’re they’re to capture a large market share amd continue keeping the current market share.
Let me know if you’ve tried any of their snacks or if you’d like to!
